This is from the yahoo user Wonders
“About 36,000 Americans die on average per year from the complications of flu.
If you do the math that is almost 100 people a DAY.
The swine flu has only killed about 145 people in Mexico and no where else. And its been going on for almost a week.
145 people a week…
vs.
100 people a day…
No one is scared of the regular flu, so why be scared of this one.”
That couldn’t be more true. Also Mexicans are probably dying easier because their hygiene isn’t as good as ours (not to offend any MXS out there).
For those in the uk people are being checked who have just come back from mexico and the two people in scotland i’m pretty sure were passed as cleared.
A lot of us should be lucky we have the facilities to look after us and improve our health.
Worry isn’t going to solve the problem. The media blows things out of proportion anyway. So just relax and if i’m wrong and you do die….
to quote the famous peter pan
“To die would be an awfully big adventure”
Thank you
Use alot of vitamins

What are the symptoms of swine influenza?
Swine flu symptoms are similar to the symptoms of regular human flu
and include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, lethargy,
headache, chills and fatigue. Some people have reported diarrhea and
vomiting associated with swine flu
How can I protect myself from swine influenza?
Here are the best ways to avoid getting or spreading swine influenza:
? Encourage all people to cover their mouth and nose when they cough
or sneeze.
? Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you
cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
? Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
? If you get sick, limit contact with others to avoid infecting them.
These are the same protections as those for seasonal flu and many
other respiratory infections.

these should tell you everything you want and need to know about any disease or infection out there. The last one is how to prevent spreading or different types of infections.

Symptoms of swine flu are the same as the ones of regular influenza. Very few people that have swine flu have had the runs or nausea. Wash your hands and eat only well prepared pork.

What scares me more than anything is that a panic will occur causing chaos.
To keep us all healthy and sane, we should keep ourselves educated with the latest, up to the minute information. Did you know we can eat pork, just make sure its cooked to at least 160 degrees to kill any virus.

I asked my doctor this same question about how to avoid the swine flu, he told me to make sure that you wash your hands often. He also told me to make sure I am taking in lots of antioxidants. He recommended a product called “Purple” to me. It contains one of the highest concentrates of antioxidants, and since it is in a liquid form, it is much more effective. He said if I make sure I wash my hands often and drink “Purple” several times a week, that should really cut my chances of catching the flu or the common cold. Finding a retailer that stocked “Purple” was somewhat of a problem, but I finally found out that GNC stores have it. I hope that helps.

I was worried too but felt much better after reading this article:
Washing your hands is a good idea. Surprisingly, eating garlic does have antibiotic effects. Oh, and you can’t get swine flu from eating pork products. I hope this helps!

Each year in the United States, an average of 36,000 people die, and more than 200,000 are hospitalized from serious flu complications. And some people, such as older people, young children, pregnant women and people with certain chronic health conditions are at higher risk for serious flu complications. For instance, each year, 20,000 children under the age of 5 are hospitalized from serious flu-related complications.
Why are people so easily scared. 150 died in Mexico an 1 in all of USA..A baby by the way. With an average of 36000 people that die each year from the flu you think that would scare people.
Looks like someone has a surplus of swine flu vacinations they want to get rid of… Turn off the news sheeple

Who benefits from Swine Flu Pandemic?
The swine flu outbreak is likely to benefit one of the most prolific and successful venture capital firms in the United States: Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Thomson Reuters Private Equity Week reported on Friday.
Shares of the two public companies in the firm’s portfolio of eight Pandemic and Bio Defense companies — BioCryst Pharmaceuticals (BCRX.O) and Novavax (NVAX.O) — jumped Friday on news that the swine flu killed a reported 60 people in Mexico and has infected people in the United States
